- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18.
- No diseases or disabilities that would jeopardize the health and safety
of the student or client in fulfilling the training duties of a massage
therapist.
- Personal interview with the Administrator.
- $78.00 non-refundable application fee (checks made payable to MAHA).
- $100 materials fee to be paid one month prior to class starting.
- Completed health evaluation (please contact school for form).
A personal interview is required prior to acceptance to the school.
Interviews are held in person or can be done via telephone for those
living off island. The focus of the interview is to answer questions
regarding school policies to assist students in their successful transition
into the school and on to a rewarding career as a massage therapist.
Interviews are held by John Sanderson, Principal, who has a Masters
Degree in Counseling, specializing in Adult Vocational Guidance. Attention
is given to each student during their interview in order to clarify
individual needs as well as focusing on short and long term goals that
can be integrated into a life plan. Subsequent interviews are also conducted
at the end of each level to assess the student's progress and to give
and receive feedback regarding training.
