Administrative offices and classes for Maui Academy of the Healing Arts
are located at our new facility in North Kihei. We have a comfortable
learning environment. Our classroom and office are brand new in 2008.
We have a large air conditioned classroom with beautiful views. The
classroom can be divided for semi-private treatment and clinics. A conference
area with resource and reference materials including a video library
is always available to students. For convenience, the administrative
office has a small retail outlet for books, lotions and supplies.
Students coming to attend school from the mainland or abroad are advised
to arrive 2 weeks to 1 month before classes begin. Classes begin in
late March and late August. Those in need of assistance in locating
housing should call the school for possible rental information or review

Students will also find many health care facilities in Kihei, and also
near the school. Kihei is home to the Kihei-Wailea Medical Center, several
dental offices, and many privately practicing doctors. Natural health
food stores and Naturopathic specialists are also available. All students
are responsible for obtaining their own medical coverage and insurance.
The school does provide liability insurance in the case of accident
in school facilities.
Maui is truly an island paradise. There are many activities and
places to explore and discover here. Students participate in many activities
such as paddling with the local canoe clubs, surfing, and windsurfing.
Maui's endless coastline of beaches and warm water create the perfect
playground for anyone. If you are new to island living, there are plenty
of activity companies ready to introduce you to the world of water activities
there is to partake in Maui's ocean. Learn how to surf, windsurf, kite,
and get certified in SCUBA. Maui also has an incredible landscape to discover
through hiking and biking. Most people wear shorts, T's and slippers all
year round. It is the comfort and ease that attracts so many to Hawaii,
and especially Maui.
In addition to all the beach and nature activities, Maui also has the
benefits of regular city living. We have theatre, dance, film, concerts,
etc. at our Maui arts and Cultural Center. There are supermarkets, shopping
malls, movie theatres, skate parks, nightclubs, gourmet restaurants
and local diners. There is plenty to do in most areas of the island.
Another popular activity is a weekend trip to a neighboring island.
The flexibility of some evening classes offered by the Maui Academy of
Healing Arts allows students the time to really enjoy Maui.
